I am a current student at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ studying Linguistics with a minor in Italian and Psychology. My love of language learning has always been a huge part of my life. I grew up in a racially diverse community. People from every walk of life from every part of the world made their homes in my town. I had made friends with as many people as I could, and experiencing their culture, and hearing them speak in their native languages at home was incredible for me. My goal is to get my hands into as many languages as I possibly can, and to touch as many peoples' lives as I can through translation.
Some of my relevant coursework includes:
Italian Language (8 years)
German Language (1 year)
I have worked for Starbucks for the past 4 years, and I am currently a Shift Supervisor. I've learned organizational skills, time management, and customer service through this company and there is no reason why I cannot bring that into my career as a translator. I am organized in that I can prioritize which jobs/tasks need attending to first and complete them in a timely manner, which goes hand-in-hand with time management skills, and I ensure excellent interactions through email, and phone.
