A native French and English speaker, I have experience in translations (French < English) ranging from speeches by African human rights leaders at UN side events, to scholars presenting on social revolutions in postcolonial Africa, to a series of children's books published by Congolese president Denis Sassou Nguesso. I also have experience with whisper and simultaneous interpretation from French<English and English>French at side events to the United Nation's 62nd session of the Commission on the Status of Women, and at CASA Maryland, a center helping refugees learn their rights in the US. I hold a Bachelor degree in French Literature with honors from Johns Hopkins University, as well as a Bachelor in Flute Performance from Peabody Institute. I am comfortable working on large event productions and performing under duress, because of my background as a musician, and possess the interpersonal skills that are necessary to provide a smooth and professional service. My areas of specialty are human rights issues, anthropology, music, arts, literature, society, and nature. I would love to work with you to make your project/presentation a success!
