PAOLA CARRIÓN GONZALEZ has a degree in translation and interpreting (French) by the University of Alicante, where she currently works as associate professor in the same department. She gives courses related to back-and-forth translation, literary translation, sworn translation and audio-visual translation, among others. She also has teaching experience in othereducational establishments like Université Paris 13. She is a sworn translator (French), she has a master’s degree in Literary Translation (UA), in Linguistic Treatment and Computer Processing of Written Documents (Université Paris 13) and another one in Teacher Training (Universidad Miguel Hernández). She possesses an international PhD in Translation and Interpreting as well (UA). Her research line is focused on comparative analysis in translations of French-Caribbean literature, but she also develops some studies in phraseology and lexicographical resources in french-based Creole languages. She has written several scientific contributions related to her research line and finally, she combines her teacher’s activity with translation asfreelance, in export enterprises, in publishing houses or with legal and sworn translations.
