Bio
I graduated from Al-Azhar University - Faculty of English Literature and Simultaneous Interpretation. I have studied and trained on various types of translation: written, consecutive and simultaneous.

I have a specialized training at the Public Agency for Information - Ministry of Media. I translated articles and news.

After graduation, I worked as a content creator, I contributed to creating and translating educational materials to raise the awareness of teenagers in Upper Egypt about sexual and reproductive health aiming to develop their personal skills and capacities.

In addition, being part of the International Relations Unit at one of the leading Egyptian NGO, I was in charge of translating all the materials, reports and liaisons that took place in the organization.

For two years, I was also in charge of facilitating the communication between a team from three different countries and from diverse cultural backgrounds. My educational assets
were utilized through my work as a field officer of Oxfam regional project; Women’s Access to
Justice. During my work, I was supporting the team of the project through translating communication materials, emails, consecutive translation during meetings ... etc.

In addition, I was the Mentoring, Evaluating, Accountability and Learning focal point and the
contact person of the project, where I was in charge of ensuring the quality of the project and
efficient communication between the project team within three countries, Netherlands, Lebanon
and Egypt and regularly assessing the field context to be able to make necessary changes to
the project’s course; responsive and interactive issues that may arise.

I have taken my journey further to work on the right of mental wellbeing. I worked as IEC
(Information, education, and communication) Office at Médecins du Monde (Doctors of the
World). I was in charge of designing and implementing an educational awareness raising program and translating awareness materials in 9 areas across Cairo and Giza governorates.

At the moment, I am working for BuSSy, a project that provides a safer space for untold taboo
stories. Collected stories are acted out in performances as an alternative tool of documentation.
The project provides a different platform for pushing taboo issues women challenges, in particular, along with men; uncovering them in public. Part of my responsibilities is translating reports, communication materials and guidelines.

In addition, I’m a freelance translator in the civil society sector. I collaborated with many
organizations.
