I am an award-winning translator experienced in producing clear, compelling, and fluid translations within the fields of art, architecture, literature, and humanities research. I am the recipient of the 2015 Gutekunst Prize awarded by the Goethe Institut America to young literary translators. As a writer and editor myself, I am committed to stylistic excellence both in literary and non-fiction translation.

My own expertise in art history, journalism, book publishing, and academia flows together in my translations. I work to give clients compelling essays, articles, and press statements that will grab the attention of their readers. Whether I am working on a grant application, an academic paper, a press release, or a catalog essay, I produce translations that have both substance and style. In addition, I work with the critical eye of an editor by bringing my own experience in book publishing, journalism, and academia to bear on composition, clarity, and message.

Clients include Fischer Verlag, Hanser Verlag, Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz, Arch+ magazine, Philosophische Fakultät der Universität Siegen, New York Review of Books, the German Pavilion of the Biennale di Venezia, and the Frankfurt Museum für Moderne Kunst.

Ph.D. in German Literature, Yale University, 2016-ongoing.

M.A. in German Literature, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, 2014.

B.A. in Comparative Literature, Harvard University, 2011.
