Lia is brazilian, 49 years old, and began working as a translator in the early 1990s, when she lived in France for five years. Professional experience:

2017-2016: She translated (from French to Portuguese, and vice versa) half a hundred interviews conducted in the 1990s by photographer and anthropologist Milton Guran, with descendants of former African slaves who returned to Africa after being freed. Acervo Agudas Project: the Brazilians of Benin (author: Milton Guran / Rumos Itaú Cultural sponsorship)

2016-1998: Acted as investigative reporter in the press magazines Attention, Report, Portrait of Brazil and Carta Capital / and in the news sites: www.brasil247.com.br; www.agefi.fr and www.autresbresils.net - she is the author of several articles on art, culture, behavior, politics, economics and finance. She also write about the study of impacts, vulnerability and climate change, and to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. 

1998-1997: Worked from the Rio Grande do Sul Cooperative of Agricultural and Viticultural Workers (Coopersul / Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil), she is co-author of the book "Agriculture and Modernity: the Brazilian Crisis Seen from the Field" (Armando Sartori et al., 496 p., 1998), where she analyzes the interviews she conducted with members of 69 families of Gaucho farmers - settlers of the national agrarian reform program. The book is part of the Coopersul VS Bank of America lawsuit, which opposed Rio Grande do Sul farmers in the international financial capital, in the US court.

1994-1993: Translator, from the French language to the Portuguese, of the texts of the anthropologist Pierre-L. Jordan, who make up the CDRoom Cent ans ans of cinema ethnographique, le Multimédiatrope. In 1994 he received the Prix International Möebius 94, in the category of Art and Culture - Center for Research and Documentation on Oceania (CEREDEM, Marseille, France).

1994-1992: She did consecutive translation from Brazilians, Portugueses, Angolans and Cape Verdeans lecturers invited to the "Anthropological Breakfast" event, held by the Anthropology Department of EHESS (Vieille Charité Center, Marseille) - School of High Studies in Social Sciences (EHESS, Marseille, France).

1992-1991:  For the publishers: Images en maneuver / Éditions Musées de Marseille she worked as French-Portuguese translator, from the book Premier Contact - Premier Regard: anthropologist Pierre-Jordan's Les 100 premier films in Afrique, Oceanie et Amérique. (Marseille, 1992, 311 p., Edition in Portuguese, Spanish and Italian).
