English -> Portuguese (BR) translator.
I work with texts of the area that I am studying, Social Sciences (Federal University of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, baccalaureate, fourth semester), and also with the Software area (I am a software developer). Literature "in general", depending on the style, is also a possibility.
I've lived, studied, and worked in the United States for one year (2014-2015), through the Science Without Borders Brazilian Government’s student exchange program, at Kansas State University (TOEFL was a prerequisite). Before that, I worked as a software developer for two years for Dell Computers and then two years more for Meridium do Brasil; in these two companies all written communication, was in English and meetings in English - in person or online - were daily routine.
I did translation and review work for an American NGO for one and a half year, working in a group led by an American English teacher.
I have a blog in Portuguese (http://pedrofbpereira.blogspot.com/), another one in English, created while I was studying in the United States (http://pedropereiraksu.blogspot.com/), and two websites of Computer Sciences didactic texts, one created for the classes I taught at SENAC Informática (a Brazilian Government-sponsored technical educational institution - see https://sites.google.com/site/orientadorpedropereira/Home) and another created when I was attending a bachelor degree Information Systems major at ULBRA (Lutheran University of Brazil), which has been incorporated into the college’s Computing Sciences courses’ website (https://sites.google.com/site/pedropereiraulbra/).
