Translator/proofreader for language pairs English and German to Croatian.
Fields of specialisation:financial and accounting texts (P&L, balance sheet, audit reports etc.), legal/legislative and technical texts (textile machinery) as well as other business material.
I graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, Croatia, where I obtained a Master’s degree in Marketing. For the past ten years, I have been working in accounting/finance departments in Croatia and Germany, where, besides accounting related responsibilities, I was also heavily involved in translating business materials for foreign clients from English and German to Croatian and vice versa (4 years of translation experience). The documents I translated included financial and accounting texts (audit reports, financial reports and notes to the various financial reports), as well as various legal/legislative and technical texts.
As a detail-oriented person, I particularly like striving for accuracy and precision and have an eye for grammar, spelling, punctuation and structure. I have a strong work ethic and finish all tasks thoroughly and in a timely manner.
