CV/Resume CV available upon request in Slovenian or English.

I'm a freelance translator and proof-reader with experience in various fields. After graduating from the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, with a BA in Interlingual communication, I obtained a master's degree in Translation (Slovenian-English-German) at the same department, while also enrolling at the Faculty of Law at the same university, where I completed the 4-year programme in Law (BA).

I started working for various clients, mostly translation agencies, when I was a student, taking on different projects. My work included translation, proof-reading, revision, project management, quality assurance and terminology management. The texts covered many different fields, among them law (contracts, privacy statements, terms of service etc.), medicine (PILs/SmpC, medical equipment, scientific articles etc.), business (financial reports, business offers etc.), IT (software localization), marketing, technical instructions for use (from heavy machinery to household products) and more.

Although I'm not strictly specialized, I always place great care on ensuring the correct terminology and style, using all available tools such as corpora, online dictionaries and translation software, carefully researching the topic as well as discussing potential issues with the client if necessary. It also goes without saying that I always meet the agreed deadlines. I also know how to use several translation tools (Trados Studio, MemoQ, XTM etc.).

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions :)
