I am born and raised in Iceland. In my youth I was
very interested in cars and car repairs and graduated as a car mechanic when I
was twenty years old in 1977 and worked as such for about fifteen years and as
a truck driver in between. Got tired of repairing cars and attended an evening
school and got my matriculation examination in December 1991.After that I moved
to Sweden and studied sociology for two years at the University in Lund. Then I
worked as a car mechanic for a while and after that as a bus driver for four
years. After that I got a job at CAB AB in Örebro. CAB develops and builds systems and
services to produce time data for damage and general repairs on vehicles. My
job there at the beginning was to translate CABs system into English and
Icelandic and communications with our customers in Iceland. I also participated
in analysing cars and controlling and investigating of their anti-theft systems. So,
I have quite a thorough knowledge about automobiles and their technological
systems. I am also used to work in Office programs and I speak and write
fluently English and Swedish and can read German as well.
I am qualified to translate all kind of
texts, both auto technical and all common text including literature, advertising
material etc.
