Originally from Indonesia, I have been living in Japan and the United Kingdom for more than a year. I hold a Bachelor of Social Sciences from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan, and recently completed MSc E-Business & Innovation in Lancaster University in the UK. I was in a management role for a Japanese trading company that deals with automotive manufacturing industry in Indonesia for 4 years.
My translation career starts with translating weekly church bulletin from Japanese to English in an international church setting from 2010 to 2012. I discontinued the service as I moved back to Indonesia, where I started my post in the trading company. Here, I also translated both financial and legal documents like the annual company audit report and the company's article of incorporation and employment agreement from Bahasa Indonesia/English to Japanese, as well as the company's lease contract. In the side, I did part-time translation for various industries from Japanese to Bahasa Indonesia/English.
I believe that translation should retain the original message, but oftentimes there needs to be adjustment due to culture. Clients can expect to receive clear and detailed result, with the messages conveyed as it is meant to be.
