At the outset of my career I was employed by a mining company. I
was tasked with technical, legal, financial and other translations, as well as
with consecutive interpreting at meetings and presentations. Through working
with engineers, accountants and legal professionals, I have become well-versed
in mining, geological, mechanical engineering, accounting and legal
terminology. An extensive exposure to various professional environments
(including open-pit mining operations, maintenance workshops, a technical
design office and medium to top-level management meetings), backed by my wide
general education, provided me with understanding of the basic principles of
engineering, law and economics. My workload included translation of operation
and maintenance manuals for mining machinery and equipment and for vehicles and
their assemblies, catalogues, studies on coal resources and reserves, business
reports, tender dossiers, contracts and so on.

After more than five years of working in a corporate setting, in
2007 I started working in the governmental sector as a translator/interpreter.
In the same year I became a sworn translator/interpreter. From that point
forward, legal translation has become one of my main fields of expertise. I
have been translating sales contracts, service agreements, FIDIC contracts
(particular conditions), court rulings, powers of attorney, articles of
association, valuation reports, specialist medical reports, academic transcripts, diplomas,
birth/marriage/death certificates and the like.

Since 2009 I have been a member of the shortlisted national team
of translators, established for the purpose of translation of the EU Acquis and
national legislation. These translations pertained to legislation in the field
of energy, environmental protection, free movement of people, goods, services
and capital, public procurement, transportation, type-approval of motor
vehicles, lighting and light-signalling devices, ecodesign requirements for
lamps and LED lamps, regulatory technical standards on investment fund
managers, financial instruments, trading venues and so on. For several years I
had been working directly with the Montenegrin Ministry of European Affairs; after
that, I worked with a Belgium-based translation agency that entered into a
contract with the Ministry. In total, I have translated around 1600 pages of
the EU Acquis, as well as several hundred pages of
national legislation and policy documents.

I have also worked with a number of translation agencies; these
projects included translation of a wide variety of documents, ranging from
auditor’s reports to marketing materials.

I am experienced in working in an international environment, in
particular with international consulting teams engaged in mid-term consulting
projects in the areas of evaluation of mining resources and reserves,
production cost optimisation, pricing of coal and electricity, water supply and
wastewater treatment services, district heating systems, preparation of
confidential information memorandums (CIMs) and so forth.

Throughout my 19 year long career my clients have always been
telling me that my translations were professional, accurate and on-time and I
take great pride in these qualities.
