I am a native German speaker and I have been a UK resident since 2002. English is my working language and my language of habitual use. I work as a translator and as a freelance artist – in the roles of project instigator, interdisciplinary collaborator on arts and social science projects and as an arts consultant. My work/life experience has equipped me with a profound comparative knowledge of German and British language and culture, both from various conceptual angles but also from a down to earth perspective.

As a socially engaged cultural practitioner I am familiar with critical contemporary discourses in cultural geography and the arts; as a translator I am keenly interested in current political affairs, the environment, environmental technologies, education, history and philosophy. On the job, I am meticulous, hardworking, creative and eager to learn.
