English to Korean: From Simon May, "From physical desire to paradise: Plato," in Love, A History General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Poetry & Literature
Source text - English Love's ultimate desire, Socrates reports, is to be 'in constant union' with the very essence of beauty, goodness, and truth itself. To be united with the essence of, say, beauty means not to be united with this or that beautiful thing, but to be united with beauty itself, with what it is to be beautiful, with what is common to all beautiful things and enables us to identify them as beautiful. This is a reality that is absolute and immortal and unchanging.
Seized by this vision of divine beauty, we look to love to take us from an imperfect, transient world to a realm of perfection and eternity. We expect to love to culminate in an experience of absolute beauty and goodness -- and our beloved to inspire in us such an experience.

Hello! My name is Cindy, and I am an artist and English-Korean translator based in Seoul, Korea. Originally from Korea, I studied and worked in the US for ten years in pursuit of my creative passion. I possess native fluency in reading, writing, and speaking in both Korean and English.
I have gained professional experiences in arts administration in various art organizations, and have worked with clients from different communities. These experiences have provided me with an opportunity not only to manage projects in a timely manner but also to provide accurate and efficient translations for global customers.
My background extends across art, design, events, and online publishing. I have translated various articles about health, wellness, art, literature, and psychology, as well as business-related documents such as contracts, templates, and emails. In the most recent project, I have contributed my skills to the Korean lexicography project.
I am happy to offer English to Korean translation service on other industries as well, including advertising, marketing, media, etc. With a positive attitude and proven ability to facilitate global communication, I would love to bring strength in translation projects.
