Source text - Italian "Donald Trump mi ha detto che dovrei citare in giudizio l'Unione Europea, di non fare negoziati." Lo ha rivelato la premier britannica, Theresa May, alla BBC. Venerdì il presidente degli Stati Uniti aveva affermato, nel corso di una conferenza stampa congiunta, di aver dato un suggerimento alla May, ma lei lo aveva trovato troppo "brutale". Alla domanda del conduttore del programma "The Andrew Marr Show" su cosa le avesse consigliato Trump, la premier ha risposto: "Mi ha detto che dovrei citare in giudizio l'Unione Europea, non negoziare con loro, denunciarli".
May ha spiegato che, nel corso del loro incontro a Chequers, l'inquilino della Casa Bianca le ha però suggerito anche di non andarsene dai colloqui. "Non abbandonare questi negoziati sennò poi sei bloccata. Vorrei che ci sedessimo per negoziare l'accordo migliore per la Gran Bretagna", ha poi detto la premier britannica, riferendo le parole di Trump.

When answering the presenter's questions on "The Andrew Marr Show", regarding what Trump was said to have advised her, the PM responded: "He told me that I should sue the EU and report them, not negotiate with them."
May explained that, in the course of their meeting at the Chequers, the resident of the White House had, however, also suggested to not leave the interviews. "Don't abandon these negotiations otherwise you'll then be stuck. I would like us to sit and negotiate the best agreement for the UK", continued the British Prime Minister, referring to Trump's words.
