Bio

Hello, I am fully a trained German lawyer having worked as such for two years.

As part of my legal studies I attended a course "Introduction to English Law" in Guildford, Surrey, UK for a term and worked in India and Denmark in international teams using English as working language.

I have been translating full-time from 2001 with a focus on legal translations from English into German

I have substantial experience in EU-terminology as well as in general licensing and international private and public law terms. I have also drafted and translated contracts both in German and English. At the moment I translate a lot of GDPR texts from German into English as well as General Terms and Conditions, court documents, extracts from the Companies House, certificates etc.

My clients are mainly major law firms but also companies in the energy sector and software companies. I enjoy all text related to renewable energies, such as wind power and photovoltaics as well as Website translations. 

I can also assist you in the SEO optimisation of your German website and designing Google Ads campaigns.

The standard charge is EUR 0.19 per word of the source text when translating legal documents. But the rates are subject to negotiation, of course.
