Source text - Arabic رحلة زعيم منفذي هجوم لندن من حياة اللهو إلى القتل باسم الدين.
خلال مرحلة المراهقة كان خورام بوت، زعيم المجموعة التي نفذت هجوم لندن بريدج قبل عامين، مدخنا للقنب ومتورطا في جرائم صغيرة.
وعندما صار بالغا احتفظ بعاداته السيئة تلك رغم أنه بدأ في انتقاد الآخرين لأنهم مسلمين "غير ملتزمين".
ويرسم المقربون منه صورة رجل يسهل التأثير عليه، بحيث تتسلط عليه بعض الأفكار، وكانت طبيعته هذه هي التي ألقته في أحضان التطرف الإسلامي وفي النهاية قادته للقتل.
فمن هو خورام بوت؟
ولد بوت في جيلوم بباكستان في 20 ابريل/نيسان عام 1990 ولديه أخ اسمه سعد وأخت اسمها حليمة وهما أكبر منه سنا.
وكان والده تاجر أثاث، وبينما يمارس أفراد أسرته الشعائر الاسلامية إلا أنهم ليسوا متشددين.
وكانت العائلة قد وصلت إلى بريطانيا عام 1998 بتأشيرة زيارة بينما كان بوت في الثامنة من عمره.
ودخل الأبناء الثلاثة المدارس في منطقتي فوريست غيت وستراتفورد شرقي لندن، وقد حقق بوت نتائج جيدة في المرحلة الثانوية.
وحاولت أسرته الحصول على لجوء سياسي، ولكن رُفض طلبها، لكن في عام 2004، وبعد وفاة والده بأزمة قلبية، مُنح إقامة دائمة.
عمل صرافا في مطعم بيتزا بعد المدرسة، قبل أن يحصل على وظيفة في مخزن لمتاجر في شارع أوكسفورد.
وتلقى أول تحذير أمني وعمره 18 عاما للتزوير حيث استخدم بطاقة النقل الخاصة بأحد أصدقائه في وسائل النقل العام.
ومنذ سن المراهقة دأب بوت على التردد على أندية الديسكو وتدخين المخردات وإقامة علاقات جنسية عابرة ووُصف بأنه "مشروع مجرم".
وفي عام 2009 أصبح إداريا في شركة إزالة مخلفات. ورغم التحاقه بعمل دائم إلا أنه حصل على وظائف إضافية في عدد من مطاعم الوجبات السريعة.
وفي ديسمبر/كانون أول عام 2010 وبينما كان في العشرين من عمره تلقى تحذيرا أمنيا ثانيا بعد مشاجرة مع رجل أمن في مركز تجاري.
زواج حليمة
وبعد عامين تزوجت أخته حليمة.
وفي حفل الزفاف التقى رجلا يدعى هاشم رحمن، كان عمه يعمل مع والد بوت.
وبعد أن أصبح بوت أكثر التزاما من الناحية الدينية بات يقضي وقتل أطول مع هذا الرجل، يقرآن أدبيات الدين الإسلامي ويصليان الفروض، كما أنهى علاقته الحميمة بصديقة رفضت التحول للإسلام.
وقال رحمن للشرطة إن بوت تغير بعد إعادة اكتشاف الدين، فقد صار أرق وأكثر تواضعا في البداية، وفي تلك الفترة طلب من رحمن أن يزوجه شقيقته زهرة، وقد تم الزواج في 25 ديسبمر/كانون أول.
في البداية بدأ بوت يقضي وقتا أطول في البيت ويخرج بانتظام للصلاة في المسجد، ولكنه أخذ يتحول تدريجيا إلى التطرف.
في يوم زفافه صمم بوت على ارتداء عروسه النقاب وجلوسها وراء حاجز خشبي بحيث لا يراها سواه.
وبعد العودة من شهر العسل في باكستان، انتقل بوت وزوجته إلى البيت الذي يعيش فيه مع أمه وشقيقه وزوجته.
وقال شقيقه سعد إن بوت صمم على أن تغطي زوجته وجهها تماما فضلا عن تغطية يديها بقفاز داخل البيت.
وأضاف قائلا: " هذا الموقف يكشف حقيقة شخصيته فهو شخص يفعل أي شيء بنسبة 100 في المئة، فمن علاقات جنسية عشوائية والكثير من الصديقات الحميمات والمخدرات إلى التمسك بالإسلام بنسبة 100 في المئة."
ستار في المدخل
وقال سعد إن ذلك كان أمرا من سلسلة أمور لم تشعره بالارتياح.
وأضاف قائلا أن بوت كان يغضب إذا جاءت شقيقته لزيارتهم دون ارتداء الحجاب، كما طلب منها الفيديوهات التي ظهر فيها وهو يرقص في عرسها كي يحذفها.
وفي سبتمبر/أيلول عام 2014 انتقل وزوجته للعيش في شقة من غرفة واحدة في باركينغ شرقي لندن.
وفي الشقة وضع بوت ستارا في المدخل حتى لا يستطيع الزوار الذكور رؤية زوجته.
وقالت زوجته: " كان شديد الالتزام مع أصدقائه حيث لم يكن مسموحا لهم برؤيتي، ولم يكن مسموحا لي برؤيتهم."
كما كان على الزوجة إعداد وجبات للتجمعات التي دأب على إقامتها في الشقة، قبل أن تقضي بقية الليلة أمام التلفزيون أو الكمبيوتر في غرفة النوم.
وتقول زهرة إنها وابنها الذي ولد عام 2014 كانا محور اهتمام بوت لبعض الوقت قبل أن يتحول لمتابعة الحرب في سوريا.
ويقول أحد مديريه إنه لاحظ تغيرا في سلوكه ومظهره في تلك الفترة فقد بدأ يحلق شعر رأسه ويطلق لحيته. وقال أحد زملائه إنه دار بينهما حديث عن مقتل الجندي لي ريغبي فقال له بوت :" إنها العين بالعين."
وصارت زوجته على دراية بعلاقته برجل الدين المحرض على الكراهية أنجم شودري مع نهاية عام 2014.
وتقول إنها حذرته وطالبته بالابتعاد عن مثل هذه الشخصيات، ولكنه كان عنيدا ولا يستجيب أبدا لما يطلبه الناس منه.
أسد خارج القفص
وتقول الزوجة زهرة إنه بعد لقاء بوت الأول بشودري بدأ يستمع لخطبه على يوتيوب واستضافه في منزله مرة على الأقل.
ويقول أحد الأصدقاء إن بوت كان مفعما بالطاقة والحيوية في حضور شودري وقد وصفه بأنه "أسد خارج القفص".
وفي سبتمبر/أيلول عام 2015 قام صهره عثمان دار بالاتصال بالخط الساخن لمكافحة الإرهاب للإبلاغ عن بوت بعد دفاعه عن قيام تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية بإعدام طيار أردني بحرقه حيا في قفص.
وفي ذلك الوقت بدأ بوت في دخول مشاجرات مع مسلمين آخرين كان يراهم مسلمين غير حقيقيين.
وفي أواخر عام 2015 دار جدل كبير بين بوت وزوجته عندما قرر الزواج بثانية قبل أن تهجر البيت لمدة شهر
وفي ذلك الوقت كان وثائقي "جهادي في الجوار" يذاع على القناة الرابعة وفيه تم تصوير عدد من المتطرفين البريطانيين وقد ظهر بوت في أحد المشاهد في حديقة ريجنت بارك بينما كان وآخرون في مواجهة مع الشرطة.
وتقول زهرة إنها لم تكن تعلم بالبرنامج ولم يبلغها بوت أنه تم تصويره.
وبين عامي 2015 و2017 عبر بوت عن الكثير من الآراء المعارضة للغرب ونشر على تطبيق واتس آب فيدوهات لقطع رؤوس، وطرد من أحد المساجد.
ويقول سعد: "كان غاضبا من السياسة الخارجية والحروب وانعدام العدالة وراء البحار."
وأضاف قائلا إنه بعد العديد من المواجهات والنقاشات توقف بوت عن الجدل مع أسرته بشأن سوريا، فاعتقدوا أنه غير آراءه، ولكنه كان يخطط لهجوم على غرار ما حدث في مانشيستر وويستمينستر بريدج.
ويقول شقيقه: "في تلك المرحلة كان يعيش حياة مزدوجة."
وبعد عدة أشهر احتجزت أسرة زهرة جوازي سفريهما بعد أن قام بحجز تذاكر سفر لتركيا. وكانت زهرة قد أبلغت والديها انها تشك في أنه يريد أخذها وابنهما الرضيع إلى سوريا للانضمام لتنظيم الدولة لذلك دمر والدها تلك الوثائق.
وفي مايو/آيار عام 2016 بدأ بوت يعمل في خدمة العملاء بمترو أنفاق لندن.
وكانت زوجته والأسرة سعداء بالعمل الجديد، ولكن بعد أسابيع بدأ يطالب بأجازة مرضية مدفوعة زاعما أن حذاء العمل يدمر قدميه.
وتقول زوجته: "لم يكن مريضا ولكنه لم يكن يريد أن يعمل."
وقد أبلغ بوت صهره أنه لا يريد هذا العمل لأنه خلال الصيف يكون هناك الكثير من "النساء العاريات في المترو".
وفي وقت لاحق أنهت الشركة تعاقده لفشله في مرحلة الاختبار وفي ذلك الوقت عاد لتدخين القنب ثانية.
دون وداع أو قبلة
خلال فترة الأجازة المرضية بدأ في التردد على "مركز الأمة الرياضي".
وفي مايو/آيار عام 2017 وقبل أسابيع من الهجوم الإرهابي أنجبت زهرة طفلا ثانيا. وتقول الزوجة إنه ببساطة لم يكن مهتما بها ولا بالأسرة.
فبعد دقائق من الولادة قال لها إنه سيغادر المستشفى متجها إلى الصالة الرياضية، واتضح لاحقا أنه ذهب للقاء رفاقه في الهجوم .
ولم يكن بوت يستجيب لطلب زهرة في تلك الفترة بقضاء وقت أطول مع الأسرة.
وفي يوم السبت 3 يونيو/حزيران 2017 غادر بوت البيت للمرة الأخيرة بدون تقبيل أطفاله وبدون وداع.
وقد قتل ثمانية أشخاص في تلك الليلة
Translation - English During adolescence, Khuram Butt, leader of the group that carried out the London Bridge attack two years ago, was a smoker of cannabis and involved in minor crimes.
When he became an adult, he kept his bad habits even though he began criticizing others because they were “non-committed” Muslims.
Those close to him draw an image of a man easy to influence, such that some ideas ruled over him, and this nature of his which threw him into the arms of Islamic extremism and eventually led him to kill.
Who is Khuram Butt?
Born in Jhelum, Pakistan, on 20 April 1990, he has a brother named Saad and a sister named Halima, both of whom are older than him.
His father was a furniture dealer, and while members of his family practiced Islamic rituals, they were not extremists.
The family arrived in Britain in 1998 with a visitor visa when Butt was 8 years old.
The three children entered schools in Forrest Gate and Stratford, East London, and Butt received good marks in secondary school.
His family tried to obtain political asylum but their request was denied, however in 2004, after his father died of a heart attack, he was granted permanent residence.
He worked as a cashier in a pizza restaurant after school, before obtaining a job in a shop on Oxford Street.
He received his first security warning at the age of 18 for forgery, when he used his friend’s personal transport card on public transport.
Since adolescence, Butt frequented disco clubs, smoked drugs, and had transient sexual relationships, calling it a “criminal project.”
In 2009, he administratively joined a waste removal company. Although he had a regular job, he obtained additional jobs in a number of fast food restaurants.
In December 2010, when he was 20 years old, he received a second security warning after a fight with a security officer in a shopping mall.
The Marriage of Halima
Two years later, his sister Halima married.
At the wedding, he met a man named Hashim Rahman, whose uncle worked with Butt’s Father.
After Butt became more religiously committed, he began to spend more time with this man. They read Islamic religious literature and prayed the supplications, and he ended his intimate relationship with a woman who refused to convert to Islam.
Rahman told police that Butt changed after rediscovering religion. He became thinner and more modest at first, At that time he asked Rahman to marry his sister Zahra, and they were married on 25 December.
In the beginning, Butt began to spend more and more time at home, leaving regularly to pray at the mosque. But he gradually turned to extremism.
On his wedding day, Butt had his bride wear the niqab and sit behind a wooden screen so that nobody would see her.
After returning from his honeymoon in Pakistan, Butt and his wife moved to the house where he lived with his mother, his friend, and his sister.
His brother Saad said Butt was intent on his wife covering her face completely, as well covering her hands with gloves even inside the house.
He also said: “This position reveals the truth of his character, that he is a person who does anything at 100%, from random sexual relations and many intimate girlfriends, to drugs, to adhering to Islam by 100%.”
Curtain in the Doorway
Saad said that this was one of a series of things that he did not feel comfortable with.
He added that Butt would have been angry if his sister had come to visit them without wearing a hijab, and he also asked her to delete the videos of him that showed him dancing at her wedding.
In September 2014, he and his wife moved to live in a one-room apartment in Barking, East London.
In the apartment, Butt placed a curtain in the doorway so that male visitors would not be able to see his wife.
“He was seriously committed to his friends, where they were not allowed to see me, and I was not allowed to see them,” his wife said.
The wife also had to prepare meals for the gatherings that were always held in the apartment, before spending the rest of the night in front of the television or computer in the bedroom.
Zara says that she and her son, who was born in 2014, were the focus of Butt’s attention for some time, before he began to follow the war in Syria.
One of his managers said that he noticed a change in his behavior and his appearance during that time. He began to shave the hair on his head and to grow out his beard. One of his colleagues said that they had a conversation about the killing of Corporal Lee Rigby, wherein Butt told him: “It’s an eye for an eye.”
His wife became aware of his relationship with the hate-speech cleric Anjem Choudhry at the end of 2014.
She says that she warned him to avoid personalities like this, but he was stubborn and he never responded to what people asked of him.
A Lion out of its Cage
Zara says that after Butt’s first meeting with Choudhry, he began to listen to his speeches on YouTube and that he hosted him in his home at least once.
One of his friends said that Butt was animated and energetic in Choudhry’s presence, and that he described him as “a lion outside of his cage.”
In September 2015, his brother-in-law Othman Dar contacted the anti-terrorism hotline to report Butt after he defended the Islamic State’s execution of a Jordanian pilot by burning him alive in a cage.
At that time, Butt began engaging in quarrels with other Muslims whom he viewed as non-real Muslims.
At the end of 2015, there was a big argument between Butt and his wife when he decided to marry a second wife before leaving home for a month.
At that time, the documentary “A Jihadist in the Neighborhood” was broadcast on Channel 4, in which a number of British extremists were filmed. Butt appeared in a scene in Regent Park, where he and others were in a confrontation with police.
Zara says that she did not know of the program, and that Butt did not inform her that he had been filmed.
Between 2015 and 2017, Butt expressed many anti-Western views and disseminated videos of beheadings via WhatsApp, for which he was expelled from a mosque.
“He was angry at foreign policy, at wars, and injustice overseas,” Saad says.
He added that after many confrontations and debates, Butt stopped arguing with his family about Syria. They thought that he had changed his mind, but he was planning an attack similar to what happened in Manchester and Westminster Bridge.
His brother said “At that point, he was living a double life.”
Several months later, Zahra’s family seized their passports, after he tried to book travel reservations for them to Turkey. Zahra told her father that she doubted that he wanted to take her and their baby son to Syria to join the Islamic State, so her father destroyed the documents.
In May 2016, Butt began customer service work in the London Underground.
His wife and the family were happy at the new work, but after a few weeks, he began demanding paid sick leave, claiming that his work boots were damaging his feet.
“He was not sick, he just didn’t want to work,” says his wife.
Butt told his brother-in-law that he didn’t want this work because “during the summer, there are many naked girls on the metro.”
A short time later, the company terminated him for failing the trial stage, so at that time he returned to smoking cannabis.
Without a Farewell or a Kiss
During his sick leave, he began to frequent “the nation’s sports center.”
In May 2017, a few weeks before the terrorist attack, Zahra gave birth to a second child. She says that he was simply no longer interested in her or the family.
Mere minutes after the birth, he told her he would be leaving the hospital to go to the gym, but she found out later that he had gone to meet with his comrades in the attack.
Butt did not respond at that time to Zahra’s request to spend more time with the family.
On Saturday, 3 June 2017, Butt left the house for the last time without kissing his children, and without a farewell.
8 people were killed that night.

انطقلت في مدينة أوساكا اليابانية قمة الدول العشرين وسط خلافات سياسية واقتصادية عالمية.
وحذر الرئيس الصيني، شي جينبينغ، من أن مذهب الحماية الاقتصادية الذي تتبعه بعض الدول "يحطم الاقتصاد العالمي."
ويرى مراقبون أن حديث الرئيس الصيني يستهدف سياسات نظيره الأمريكي دونالد ترامب الذي فرضت إدارته العديد من التعريفات الجمركية على البضائع الصينية.
وشهدت القمة قيام ترامب بالسخرية من الحديث عن التدخل الروسي في الانتخابات الأمريكية، حيث طلب من نظيره الروسي فلاديمير بوتين بلهجة ساخرة عدم التدخل في الانتخابات، وذلك أثناءاللقاءالذي جمع الزعيمين على هامش القمة.
وكان الرئيس الروسي قد استبق القمة بتوجيه انتقادات إلى الليبرالية قائلا إنها مسألة تجاوزها الزمن.
وقال بوتين في مقابلة صحفية إن الأيديولوجية التي تأسست عليها الديمقراطيات الغربية "لم تعد لها فائدة" في العالم اليوم.
وأشاد الرئيس الروسي بتصارد الشعبوية في أوروبا وأمريكا، قائلا إن بعض الافكار مثل التعددية الثقافية "لم تعد محتملة."
وأدلى بوتين بتصريحاته في حوار مع صحيفة الفايننشال تايمز.
وقال بوتين، الذي يحكم روسيا لفترة رئاسية رابعة، إن "الليبراليين لا يمكنهم إملاءأي شيءعلى الجميع."
وأضاف أن الليبرالية "تتعرض مع مصلحة أغلبية الشعب"، منتقدا المستشارة الألمانية، انغعلا ميركل، لفتحها أبواب الهجرة أمام عدد كبير من اللاجئين في بلادها.
وتابع يقول إن فكرة الليبرالية "تفترض أن المهاجرين يمكنهم القتل والسلب والاغتصاب دون حساب، لأنه ينبغي حماية حقوقهم كمهاجرين.
Translation - English The G-20 summit has launched in the Japanese city of Osaka amid international political and economic differences.
The Chinese President, Xi Jinping, warned that the economic protectionism of some countries “is destroying the world economy.”
Observers believe that the Chinese president’s speech is aimed at his counterpart Donald Trump, whose administration has imposed numerous tariffs on Chinese goods.
The summit also witnessed Trump mocking talk of Russian intervention in the US elections, as he jokingly requested from his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to refrain from interfering in the elections during the meeting which brought the two leaders together on the sidelines of the summit.
The Russian President pre-empted the summit by criticizing Liberalism, saying that it was an obsolete issue.
Putin said in a newspaper interview that the ideology upon which Western Democracies were founded “is no longer useful” in today’s world.
The Russian president praised the rise of populism in Europe and America, saying that some ideas such as multiculturalism “are no longer possible.”
Putin made his remarks in an interview with the Financial Times.
Putin, who is ruling Russia for a fourth presidential term, said that “Liberals cannot dictate anything to everyone.”
He added that Liberalism “runs counter to the interests of the majority of the people,” criticizing the German Chancellor Angela Merkel for opening the doors of immigration to a large number of refugees in her country.
He followed up by saying that the idea of Liberalism “assumes that migrants can kill, rob, and rape without account, because their rights should be protected as migrants.”

I have 12 years of experience as an Arabic linguist in the military. My areas of expertise cover politics, international relations, military, medical, economics, and intelligence, though I have experience working with the language in nearly all major categories. I have translated thousands of hours of spoken Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and thousands of written pages as well. Unfortunately, they are unavailable for sampling here, but I can provide adequate examples of my work upon request. The one area where I lack significant experience is interpretation. I have done very little of this. However, I am very open to improving my abilities in this skill set, and will gladly take this kind of work if given the opportunity.
