Source text - English It’s here at last! The halls are decked with boughs of holly. The night is silent. The manger is away. The shepherds are watching their flocks and the dings are donging merrily on high.
The songs… the tastes… the smells… the sounds… the sights… the feelings of Christmas Day… so much to share with each other.
And yet there is potential for there to be empty seats – empty seats signifying those who are no longer able to sit with us and help us to celebrate today.
Time to sit round a table and talk about it!
Translation - Portuguese Finalmente chegou! Os corredores estão decorados com ramos de azevinho. A noite está silenciosa. A manjedoura está pronta. Os pastores estão observando seus rebanhos e os tinidos de sino estão tinindo felizmente alto.
As músicas… os sabores… os cheiros... os sons... as vistas... as sensações natalinas... tantas coisas a serem compartilhadas um com o outro.
E ainda existe o potencial de haver lugares vazios - lugares vazios simbolizando aqueles que não podem mais se sentar conosco e nos ajudar a celebrar hoje.
Hora de se sentar em volta de uma mesa e conversar sobre isso!
