Worked on sight as a lead document reviewer for 2 years. These document review projects were for patent- infringement disputes between US Companies and a Japanese company. Also, helped develop process for reviewing Japanese documents.
American Law Firm
Translated documents from Japanese to English for a lawsuit brought by a US printing company against a Japanese manufacturing company. The documents included internal memos, customer agreements, and order sheets.
Worked for a Japanese packing manufacturer as an interpreter during a series of meetings held in the US and Canada. This included meetings with potential customers in Canada, their US patent attorneys, and an interview with a USPTO patent examiner regarding a new invention.
Morrison & Foerster LLP
Helped with the review and summary of legal documents. The objective of this assignment was to review a large number of Japanese and English documents and summarize their contents in English. The summaries were used to prepare the case for trial.
British Financial Institution
Translated legal documents and forms from English to Japanese for new Japanese customers who wanted to trade metals on the London Metal Exchange. The documents included a guide to the London Metal Exchange, risk disclosure statement, customer agreement, and form for opening an account.

Translated legal documents for a lawsuit brought by a US firm against a Japanese company from English to Japanese. The documents included notice to the parties, complaint, and summons.
