Source text - English Many factors contribute to hyperuricemia, including: genetics, insulin resistance, hypertension, renal insufficiency, obesity, diet, use of diuretics, and consumption of alcoholic beverages. Of these, alcohol consumption is the most important.
Causes of hyperuricemia can be classified into three functional types: increased production of uric acid, decreased excretion of uric acid, and mixed type. Causes of increased production include high levels of purine in the diet and increased purine metabolism. Causes of decreased excretion include kidney disease, certain drugs, and competition for excretion between uric acid and other molecules. Mixed causes include high levels of alcohol and/or fructose in the diet, and starvation.

Source text - Greek Το έργο της ύδρευσης Κέρκυρας αποτελεί ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα προγραμματιζόμενα έργα ύδρευσης στην Ελλάδα την τελευταία 10ετία, καθώς 1) η Κέρκυρα παρουσιάζει έντονα προβλήματα υδροδότησης (όσον αφορά την ποσότητα αλλά και την ποιότητα του νερού ύδρευσης) αλλά και υφαλμύρινσης υπογείων υδάτων και 2) έχει εθνική σημασία λόγω της συμβολής της στο εθνικό ΑΕΠ (σε πολύ μεγάλο βαθμό λόγω της έντονης τουριστικής δραστηριότητας), ενώ έχουν ήδη δαπανηθεί σημαντικοί πόροι για την ωρίμανση του. Η ολοκλήρωση του έργου αποτελεί προτεραιότητα για την Ελλάδα.
Έργο Α2 «Ύδρευση Νήσου Κέρκυρας - Φράγματα, Εγκαταστάσεις και συναφή έργα ταμίευσης, άντλησης και μεταφοράς» με προϋπολογισμό €189.723.740, προ Φ.Π.Α. το οποίο περιλαμβάνει:
Ταμιευτήρα χωρητικότητας 5.760.000 m3 με αντίστοιχες εγκαταστάσεις καθαρισμού νερού (Φράγμα Μελισσούδι), ένα φράγμα εκτροπής με σήραγγα (Φράγμα Κυπριανάδων) για την συμπληρωματική τροφοδοσία του Φράγματος Μελισσούδι Ι, ταμιευτήρα χωρητικότητας 1.065.000 m3 με αντίστοιχες εγκαταστάσεις καθαρισμού νερού (Φράγμα Καλαμιώτισσας), καθώς και την κατασκευή κεντρικού εξωτερικού υδραγωγείου μήκους 197 km, 3 δεξαμενών και 8 αντλιοστασίων για την υδροδότηση των οικισμών του νησιού. Τέλος περιλαμβάνει την κατασκευή συστήματος SCADA για τον έλεγχο και την τηλεδιοίκηση του υπό κατασκευή έργου υδρευτικού συστήματος
Translation - English The water supply project of the island of Corfu it’s been one of the largest planned water supply projects in Greece over the past 10 years, as 1) Corfu is experiencing severe water supply problems (in terms of water quantity and water quality) as well as groundwater salinization and 2) it’s of national significance due to its contribution to the national GDP (to a great extent due to strong tourist activity), while considerable resources have already been spent on its development. Completion of the project is a priority for Greece.
Project A2 "Corfu Island Water Supply - Dams, Installations and related Projects of water storage, abstraction and transport" with a budget of € 189.723.740, before VAT. which includes:
Reservoir with storage capacity of 5.760.000 m3 with corresponding water sanitation installations, (Melissoudi Dam), in tunnel diversion dam (Kyprianades Dam) for the additional supply of the Melissoudi dam I, a reservoir with storage capacity of 1.065.000 m3 with corresponding water sanitation installations (Kalamiotissa Dam). as well as the construction of a 197 km long central aqueduct, with 3 tanks and 8 pumping stations for the water supply of the island's settlements. Finally, it includes the construction of a SCADA system for the control and remote management of the under construction water system.
