I am a native English and French speaker, having grown up in France in a binational family (French and US).
I have significant writing and translating experience, specifically in the academic and journalistic sectors.
Throughout my academic training, I have developed excellent writing skills in both English and French. After graduating with highest honors from PSL University in Paris, I moved to London to pursue a master's at the London School of Economics and Political Science last year. Both my degrees included dissertations, through which I gained familiarity with academic conventions and citations styles in English and French.
Furthermore, I have gained translation and editing experience through my journalistic activity. As a writer for several online platforms and non-profit organizations, I have acquired proof-reading and editing skills, as well as an ability to condense and clarify written language. As an editorial assistant and writer for Oazarts! magazine, I provided editorial support to the magazine's editor in chief, and wrote several articles published online and in print.
Additionally, I became a translator for the non-profit organization Rise Again Nepal, thus assisting with the translation of a variety of texts ranging from grant proposals to philosophical and artistic texts. This experience trained me to adapt to varying styles while maintaining a rigorous attention to detail.
Finally, I have also assisted Le Monde Japanese correspondent Philippe Pons with French to English translations of articles intended for online publication. Through these experiences, I have therefore gained proficiency in and familiarity with a wide range of translation and editing services.
