I am a military trained translator, having attended the prestigious Defense Language Institute in Monterey California to learn Korean from native speakers in an environment of complete language and cultural immersion. My translation skills were further developed and honed by my work conducted for the intelligence community as well as periodic language refresher courses and training courses offered by the FBI. Since starting as a freelance translator in 2016, I have worked extensively in fields such as marketing, video game localization and finance, and I have been the lead translator on a high profile Citibank project for two years. I have an associate degree in Korean from the Defense Language Institute, and my Bachelor's in East Asian Studies from the University of Maryland, Global Campus, where I also completed my Masters of Business Administration.
