Source text - English Rindala Semaan is a Lebanese writer and holds a master degree in Psychomotor therapy. She was born and raised in Byblos, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and a UNESCO world heritage site. Rindala was named after a poetry book by the Lebanese philosopher and language reformer Said AKL. She currently writes English articles about mental health and she aims to publish her French manuscript Les Réflexions.
Rindala is also an environment activist and a Human rights advocate. Since her arrival to Canada few months ago, she traveled around the country with her husband in their converted van, visiting the provinces from coast to coast. The green mountains of BC and the view of the ocean remind her of her tiny Arab Mediterranean country that she hopes to celebrate with Vancouverites at this cultural event.
Translation - Arabic رندلى سمعان كاتبة لبنابيّة حائزة على شهادة ماجستير في العلاج النّفس حركيّ. رندلى من مواليد مدينة بيبلوس المصنّفة إحدى أقدم المدن السّكنيّة في العالم وإرثٌ عالميٌّ حسب منظّمة الأونسكو الدّوليّة. اسم رندلى مأخوذٌ عن ديوان الشّعر للمفكّر والكاتب اللّبنانيّ سعيد عقل. شغف الكتابة رافق رندلى منذ الصّغر وهي تكتب حاليًّا مقالات تخصّ الصّحّة العقليّة بالإنكليزيّة وتعمل على نشر ديوانها (خواطر) باللّغة الفرنسيّة. هي أيضًا ناشطة بيئيّة ومدافعةعن حقوق الإنسان. لقد سافرت المقاطعات الكنديّة في الأشهر الأخيرة وهي تأمل بالإحتفال بلغتها العربيّة مع جمهور فانكوفر في هذه الأمسية الثقافية.
