I'm new to translation, I'll be honest. I'm a Registered nurse, and I've always had a fascination with languages and writing. As I am fluent in several languages, I decided that I am going to learn as much as possible about the industry, and I am truly dedicated in doing this. In my work I am precise and attentive to detail, and as this is a key criteria for success in translation work, I feel very well suited. Medical terminology is something I have experience with, so I would be interested in translating these types of documents.
I have completed my entire education in English, including a bachelor's degree in health care. However, my practice periods and work in hospitals have been in Finnish, a language I fluently speak and write. My thesis for the degree program received the highest possible grade and I received a special excellency grant from the university of applied sciences when I graduated in 2011.
I have close contacts in the translation industry and I receive private mentoring with an experienced translator. I am confident that I will be able to deliver a high standard of work to anyone willing to give me a chance to prove the level of my skills. I am also interested in volunteer work. Thank you for reading my bio, and I hope to be of service to you or your company in the future!
