Graduating from Goldsmiths, UoL, with a degree in English and comparative literature gifted me with a multitude of skills that are ideal for writing, editing and proofreading. Yes, reading four novels and writing handfuls of essays every week for three years could be considered an extreme sport, but thanks to those intense circumstances I have garnered much growth as a writer, so much so that I have edited many essays for others students.
Like any wide-eyed aspiring writer who's fresh out of university, I settled to gain as much experience in any writing sector as possible, and fortunately for me, the writing Gods were on my side. Interning at Healthista.com taught me to take my writing to a more specific path - where audiences and research were crucial. Here I grew to write and publish several different types of magazine articles and blogs, and cater to the stylistic yet informative nature of the website.
Being from a bilingual home, not only was I developing my skills as an English writer thanks to my upbringing in London and my degree in literature, but I was also practising my mother tongue on a daily basis whenever I communicated with my Turkish family members.
I have gone on to write and proofread books, essays, articles, creative writing pieces including poetry and official government documents.
