I was born and raised in France in a bilingual family (American/French), studied and worked in France until 2007. After 7 years in the marketing and merchandising departments of L’Oréal, I moved to the UK. I joined the production side of the Point of Sale industry and learned about manufacturing, materials (plastics - injections, vacuum forming, fabrication, metalwork and woodworking - which I had also studied for my personal benefit in France). After 9 years in the POS industry, using my language skills sporadically, I decided to make them the centre of my new career as a translator. I help individuals with their red tape requirements in French and English. I have translated websites and would be very interested in pursuing this line of business. I am mostly interested in the learning aspect of the work and am more than happy to discover new areas and subjects.
