Elsa Gudiño Carlos Biography

Granddaughter of humble
and Bolivian Quechua people; Dionicia Chiri and Eugenio Carlos Santos who both
encouraged her the love for the languages where she learned her second mother
tongue that is the Quechua. She was born in Camargo, it is a department of
Chuquisaca Bolivia, she learned Spanish and Quechua at the same time, while her grand-parents worked in the agriculture and in the barter.

Elsa Gudiño Carlos
studied at Juan Misael Saracho University in the department of Tarija, in the
Languages Career. While she got to the world of languages and the
translation, she worked as French assistant of a professor in the same university.

In 2009, Elsa Gudiño became
a member of Centro Boliviano Americano (A Binational American Institute) as an
English teacher, where she worked three years.

In 2011, after all
the low salary she moved to Uyuni where she worked as a tourist guide and as an
interpreter at the Bolivian Andes. She became a member of the Tourist Guide
Association “Asociación Canchas Blancas Uyuni”.

In 2014, she started working
more in the world of the Translation.

In 2016, she did
little works of translation from English, French and Spanish into Quechua.

In 2020, she
translated the book of “What does the
Bible Says about Faith? by Brian Gugas.. And “The Word of God TG” by Dr. Pensacola Jefferson Helen

Nowadays, Elsa Gudiño
Carlos continues with her studies of Translation, looking for the best to learn
more about this beautiful profession.

She is an adventurer
of cultures, especially of her interesting and wonderful country Bolivia, and
she lives submerged in the Quechua language.
