My name is Mariana and I am a Brazil-based translator working with the language pair English > Brazilian Portuguese.
I started translating in 2014 as a hobby. From 2014 to 2016, I was a volunteer translator at Viki, where I took part in more than 70 translation projects of TV series. Since then, my passion for translation and all it involves has never stopped growing.
After years of fan translating with care, love, and commitment, I decided to dive deeper into this field, and now I am currently taking a postgraduate degree in Translation.
I love translating and playing games, so in 2016 I put those two passions together: I became a game translator. I have been involved in all parts of the localization of a game, from project management to LQA. Thus, this is my area of expertise, having participated in more than 40 projects.
I also have a degree in System Analysis and Development, a certificate from a one-year-long course in Administrative Processes, and another certificate from a one-year-long course in Computer Network.
Other than video games, I am very familiar with series and movies, IT-related material, software, hardware, and cooking/culinary.
