Translation - English LUNG-OSIME-SRS research is targeted to lung cancer patients of the NSCLC type who have an EGFR mutation and asymptomatic brain metastases, who receive treatment with the TKI Inhibitor called Osimertinib. Osimertinib is an accepted treatment for these patients. This medication crosses the Blood-Brain Barrier, and it is therefore expected that this medicine will bring about the shrinking of the brain metastases. Radiation treatment of the brain in addition to Osimertinib is not an accepted treatment for these patients. The research proposes the addition of stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) to these patients two months following treatment with Osimertinib alone. The participants in the research will be randomly placed into one of two branches of the research: in the first, they will receive combination treatment with SRS and in the second will continue with the accepted Osimertinib treatment alone. The objectives of the research are to determine whether treatment earlier than the accepted with SRS can extend the period of time without progression of brain metastases (CNS-Progression free survival). The secondary objectives of the research are to determine if early and focused radiation therapy of the SRS type can improve the cognitive abilities of the patient, their quality of life, the period of time until they are required to undergo Whole Brain Radiation and their life expectancy.
