I am a native German speaker with a Master's Degree in Social Sciences. My interest in different languages and cultures was prompted when I attended a student exchange program in the U.S. at the age of 16. During college, I went to the University of Tampere, Finland, for a semester abroad and after my graduation, I attended a six-month Work & Travel program to Canada.
I have worked for two international student exchange organizations in Germany and the United States, where part of my job was to translate documents for exchange students, American high schools, and partner organizations on a daily basis. I also acted as an interpreter on occasion. Furthermore, I worked for a charitable non-profit during the height of the recent European refugee crisis to support migrant integration efforts.
On top of that, I have work experience in HR as well as Sales & Marketing. I am proficient in office software and Internet research.
