Please allow me to introduce myself...
My name, age, gender or race, are all unimportant in terms of my morals and what I stand for.
If there is one thing I have a lot of, it is integrity. There is one thing, above all, that I will always fight for – across all platforms – and that is justice. That’s why I became a journalist; to be the voice for those who cannot speak themselves. That’s also why I became a translator; to convey the meaning of those who cannot communicate in the languages I can.
When the freelance jobs are few and far between, we will all need to pick up other work, and this is very much reflected in my employment history. But I never let that compromise my values. I simply did what I had to do to make ends meet.
I believe we all have a purpose, and mine is to help fight injustice. I do have needs, wants and opinions of my own, but I like to keep them to myself, as long as it’s not hurting anyone.
I love multitasking, and I find learning quite tremendous fun.
I care deeply about my work, and I am fiercely loyal and very good at doing what I do whilst keeping a low profile.
I find that shortcuts will seldom lead to lasting success. I learned things the hard way, made my mistakes, and I am stronger, better and more creative and analytical for it.
I am an experienced and exceptionally hardworking professional with a wide-ranging work and educational background. I am always keen to learn new things – as will be evident from my CV. My philosophy in life is pretty much this; do what you love and make it your passion. After all, if you don't like it, why do it?
I am a conscientious time keeper. I find that making sure that you are always ahead of schedule creates room for dealing with any unforeseen challenges.
I thrive on making the impossible possible. I take pride in being thorough and proactive, and I have good people skills (this doesn't necessarily mean that I am super sociable – quite the opposite. It just means I know how to utilise my time and find what I need so I can spend my time on more important matters).
Through my freelance work, Booking.com is one of my long term clients. I have worked for them since 2011, and this has made me quite the expert on anything travel, hotel or tourism related.
