I used to specialise in complex legal translations delivered by ridiculous deadlines; then I had my three daughters and downshifted. I can't work all hours any more, but I do guarantee quality over a wide range - literary, legal, journalism, tourism, promotional materials and so on. I am also an experienced and trusted editor of Russian-English translations.
2012-present: freelance translator and editor based in Moscow until 2014, now in London.

1997-2000: freelance translator in London working mostly for international law firms.
1995-97: Manager of the Translation Group, Baker & McKenzie, Almaty.
1993-95: Associate and staff translator, The Chase Manhattan Bank, London.
MA in Modern & Medieval Languages (French & Russian), Cambridge University, class 2:1. This included ten months at the Maurice Thorez Institute (Moscow State Linguistic University).
