I have updated my language skills by attendance at advanced language courses in Sweden (2002, 2007, 2008, 2011) and Germany (2003, 2011) and other visits.
In 2005, I attended a 2-day course in Sweden on translating company annual reports from Swedish to English, using IFRS.
In 2008, I attended a 2-day course in London on Economics and Finance.
In 2010, I attended a 1-day course (Master class) in London on accounting terminology and translating company annual reports.
I have given numerous talks at translators' meetings and training courses about how to set up in business as a translator, and the use of computer tools for translators.

Thanks to my previous careers, I have highly developed writing skills in English, and in-depth knowledge of business, finance, economics, accountancy, e-commerce, I.T.
Background: I have many years' experience as a BBC journalist in London specializing in financial, economic and business news. Unrivalled experience in editing and writing crisp, clear, comprehensible English.
More recently I have worked for many years for the U.S. company General Electric as a technical consultant on e-commerce projects in various European countries, mainly the UK. As well as consultancy, this also involved researching and writing technical user guides, training and some translation.
