Bio

Hi!

I am Alix, a UK-based linguist with a passion for languages and psychology, with a BA in Modern Languages (French & Spanish) and in the process of getting a MSc in Psychology and Learning Disability. 

I have been translating for a few years in various contexts and for different clients, which led me to build a sound knowledge and expertise across many fields (e.g. Public Sector, medical, music, academic, and so on). All of this was further solidified thanks to my undergraduate programme, which required me to take a minimum of 1 translation module per semester. 

What is more, I have also had the chance to do some interpreting jobs, which helped me discover a new interest and made me even fonder of this profession. These were also in the context of Public Sector mainly (such as council and school meetings), but I have also had the chance to work for privates during f2f meetings (e.g. selling of private estates). 

Ultimately, I would love to gain more experience, both to improve professionally and also to learn more – since translation and interpretation do offer you the chance to constantly learn and grow!
