English to Dari: Why does the government collect statistics on the unemployed? General field: Bus/Financial Detailed field: Management
Source text - English When workers are unemployed, they, their families, and the country as a whole lose. Workers and their families lose wages, and the country loses the goods or services that could have been produced. In addition, the purchasing power of these workers is lost, which can lead to unemployment for yet other workers.
Addressing the issue of unemployment requires information about the extent and nature of the problem. How many people are unemployed? How did they become unemployed? How long have they been unemployed? Are their numbers growing or declining? Are they men or women? Are they young or old? Are they White, or Black, or Asian, or of Hispanic ethnicity? How much education do they have? Are they concentrated in one area of the country more than another? These statistics—together with other economic data—can be used by policymakers to determine whether measures should be taken to influence the future course of the economy or to aid those affected by joblessness.

Bio
I am very interested in translation to serve the community which requires skills,
experience, and competencies I have developed over the past 22 years with the government, international and national
organizations such as IDLG, MRRD, UNDP, UN-Habitat, USAID Projects, UNHCR,
MADERA, and CoAR.
Having a master's degree in Business
Administration, 22 years of experience in the field of policy analysis,
information management, monitoring, evaluation, reporting, project management,
data analysis, and presenting the results to the management, donors,
government, and international counterparts, give me the courage to be productive and professional. The competencies which I
have, such as technical abilities in writing guidelines, strategies, policies,
providing effective recommendations, ability to work effectively with
multidisciplinary teams, oral and written communication skills, creativity,
result-oriented, enthusiasm, independence, and coordination, and having knowledge
in the government and United Nations system would fulfill the required
need of organizations and individuals.
Furthermore, I have delivered more than a
hundred training, workshops, and lectures to government employees,
international counterparts, and institutes’ students on the subjects of
analysis, monitoring, evaluation, information management, reporting, computer
systems for improving their knowledge, enhancing skills, and office practices
in English, Dari and Pashto languages.
I would be pleased to have the opportunity to discuss how I could contribute to the success of organizations and individuals. I am confident that I can fulfill the required results expected by organizations and individuals.
