I am a certified medical transcriptionist, and also a certified Tumor Registrar.
i work for the Institutional Review Board at the USC+USC Medical Center in Los Angeles.
I have been doing freelance translations in the medical field since 1991. My native language
is Spanish. I have taken also classes of legal interpretation and translation at
California State University, Los Angeles. My plans are to continue taking such classes
for my own knowledge.
Because of my experience in the medical field and the Spanish population of the
City of Los Angeles, I interpreted for the institution I worked previously. I was contacted
by the IRB in 1991 to do some of their written translations. The Spanish-speaking physicians
at the IRB reviewed my work and approved for use at the above mentioned medical center.
I have been their only approved translator since then. |
