Career History
1990-1992 - Pyramid Marketing Associates, British/Russian joint venture, Moscow office - PA and interpreter/translator into and out of English and Russian. Moved to the UK in July 1992.
Since 1993 - translator, interpreter, tutor and examiner in Russian, assessor of translation tests and a proof-reader. 1993-2003 - tutor in Russian language to all levels, at private and state schools, sixth-form colleges, commercial firms such as Ford Motor company, and universities
1998-2001 - lecturer in Russian, University of Portsmouth, UK

Wide experience in translation/interpreting both in Russia and in the UK. Excellent understanding of both Russian and British educational system, medical system and business structure. Good knowledge of British legal system. Good experience in literary translation (Dostoyevsky). Published articles on Dostoyevsky in British literary journals (in English). PhD thesis 'Dreams in Dostoyevsky's Early Works' written and defended in English
