Dr Ouyang Yu has a doctorate in English from La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia, in 1995, and has since published over 9 titles of Australian novels, 8 in Chinese and 1 in English. He has had 16 years' experience in commercial and literary translation. A writer and poet himself, he has published two books of English poetry and one book of Chinese poetry, all published by reputable publishers both in China and Australia. He offers services in both English and Chinese translations and interpreting in such areas as legal, literary, educational, medical, financial, telecommunications and computer areas. He has both Macintosh and PC computers as well as all the modern facilities such as a broad-band cable for internet connections, a laser printer for Mac and an Epson 600 Color printer for PC. He is also available for checking and assessing the quality of tranlations by others, himself being an experienced and professional checker and assessor for many years.
