Born in Birmingham, England in 1956. Domicile in Denmark since 1973. Married with 4 children. Have worked in very varied fields, as follows:

Costume jeweller, shopkeeper, employment in various engineering, woodworking and other factories. Chef, 2 restaurants. Apprenticeship as roof thatcher, and subsequently own thatcher's firm that I still run in the summer. This includes a great deal of knowledge in almost all spheres of construction. Commercial Pilot's Licence (B-licence).

English philology studies at University of Aarhus, (DK), and at University of Wollongong, (AUS) special interest in Aboriginal literatures.

Since 1993, translator Danish-English. Since 1997, also Swedish & Norwegian to English.
