Hos Löfbergs Lila saknade IT-tillämpningarna koppling till varandra. För ett par år sedan lyftes allt till ett gemensamt affärssystem. Vinsterna är säkrare beslutsunderlag och bättre kundservice.
Löfbergs Lila är kanske Karlstads mest välkända företag. De hör till landets ledande kafferosterier och har ett varumärke som de flesta känner igen. På väg in i det nya seklet insåg företaget att det fanns behov av ett modernare affärssystem än det man tidigare haft. Det gamla affärssystemet hos Löfbergs Lila i Karlstad klarade främst ekonomi, order och fakturering. Därutöver fanns en rad separata system, för bland annat produktionsplanering och resultatuppföljning. Med system utan samverkan blev det svårt att uppfylla 2000-talets affärskrav.
– Vi kände ett behov att knyta ihop allt till ett system, berättar Lars Appelqvist, som är logistikchef.
– Tidigare hade vi svårt att få fram ett övergripande beslutsunderlag, när informationen var utspridd på olika källor som öar.
Movex mot Movex
För 2,5 år sedan inleddes förnyelsen hos kaffetillverkaren. En tio år gammal Movex- installation åkte ut och ersattes med en betydligt modernare version. Alla gamla separata system skrotades eftersom den nya Movexversionen – version 1.5, standard – kan hantera allt som Löfbergs Lila önskade. Verksamhets hela informationsstöd knöts till Movex.
– Vi har nu hela kedjan från tillverkningsprognos till kundfaktura i ett system, säger Lars Appelqvist.
Projektet innebar också en ordentlig verksamhetsöversyn där man granskade alla invanda arbetssätt. Det innebar att verksamheten organiserades mer processorienterat med fokus på kunden.

Löfbergs Lila Integrates Systems (CS 04/02/2004)
Löfbergs Lila did not have integrated IT applications. A few years ago the company integrated all existing systems in a common business system. The advantages are a sounder basis for decisions and improved customer service.
Löfbergs Lila is perhaps Karlstad’s best known company. It is one of the country’s leading coffee roasting houses with a trademark recognized by nearly everyone. Entering the new century, the company recognized the need to update its business system. Löfbergs Lila’s old business system in Karlstad primarily managed finance, orders and invoicing. Additionally, there were a number of separate systems for production planning and follow-up of activities and earnings. However, with non-interacting systems, it was difficult to meet the business demands of the 21st century.
“We felt the need to integrate all these systems into one common system,” says Lars Appelqvist, head of logistics. “Previously, with information spread out like islands, we found it difficult to substantiate decisions.”
Movex to Movex
The coffee manufacturer started renewing its systems two and a half years ago. A ten-year-old Movex installation was replaced with a significantly more modern version. All old separate systems were replaced because the new Movex version – version 12.5, standard – could handle everything that was required by Löfbergs Lila. The organization’s entire information support was connected to Movex.
“We now have the whole process from manufacturing forecasts to customer invoicing in one system.” Appelqvist says.
The project also entailed a complete audit of the entire organization where all working routines were reviewed. This resulted in a more process oriented organization focusing on the customer.
