Interpreting (in person or via phone) and translation.
M.A. in journalism;
M.A. in Human Development.
University of Missouri - USA.
Experience includes in-classroom interpreting (both directions), teaching English (college level) and Arabic, interpreting at various workshops at the U.N. conference against racism, interpreting for medical emergencies, translating medical, legal, and literary texts, including poetry. As a writer, my translation and interpretation are the focus of utmost care in word choice, conveying nuances of cultural and contextual meaning, beauty of the final product in terms of sound and word flow. I do my work with the larger value of making the world more understandable, one word at a time, for humans must rely on one another for communication and for understanding the vast human experience.
