This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of captivity.
But one hundred years later, we must face the tragic fact that the Negro is still not free. One hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity.

In a sense we have come to our nation's capital to cash a check. 1. FMC and shaping of the product introduction/ recognition policies (image advertising)
Venture capital is a relatively new financing instrument in Latvia, and therefore FMC will devote time and resources to introduce the Latvian business environment with this way of financing- its pros and cons- and simultaneously perform actions, that will establish our FMC as trustworthy, honest and competent finance partner.
Informative folder- the folder will be developed as an advertising/informative material concerning FMC. A special chapter will introduce entrepreneurs to essence of venture capital investment. The brochure will provide information about several successful models of cooperation between venture capital investment fund and entrepreneurs, so an entrepreneur, while getting acquainted with the information in the folder, would choose the optimal model of cooperation between his enterprise and the venture capital foundation. Since partners of our FMC are reputable Latvian banks, folders will be additionally distributed through the informative stands in the banks, which will provide a great number of entrepreneurs with a possibility of insight both into work of our FMC and the venture capital branch as such.
Internet homepage- all enterprises nowadays have access to the Internet, therefore extensive amount of information about our FMC and venture capital investment will be provided in our homepage. In order to increase the number of entrepreneurs attending our site, there will be links from the Internet pages of our partner banks, as well as from the biggest financial consultants’ and branch associations’ homepages. We hope for additional support from the Latvian Guarantees’ agency – providing assistance in popularizing homepages of the winners of the contest both on their site and in informative folders issued by LGA. Since the Internet is a very convenient stage in facilitating recognition, various methods will be used for popularizing our homepage, for example, information about our FMC on employees’ cars.
Informative articles in the press - our employees are already collaborating with some of the biggest daily newspapers- Daily Business, Business and the Baltics, Diena- and informing entrepreneurs about venture capital investments. For the time being, venture capital is quite an unfamiliar branch in Latvia, so one must first rouse interest in the journalists, who cover economics, who will afterwards inform entrepreneurs through their articles. We evaluate this already made effort as a valuable investment in FMC’s future development. If our FMC is among the winners of this contest, there will be a press release about our work after its conclusion.
Participation in workshops and conferences – Latvian Venture capital association (LVCA) organizes several events annually in order to popularize venture capital investments. These arrangements are attended both by entrepreneurs, representatives from banks and associations, and media. Presently there is an agreement with LVCA about a large-scale workshop after the end of the contest (the topic is „Vast change in the branch of venture capital in Latvia”), where our FMC will be present to inform those interested about our activities.

My specialization are texts that might be hard to comprehend and, apart from translating, might need organizing (shorter sentences, division in chapters, re-arrangement etc.) I have written a great deal both in Latvian, English and Danish (articles, prose, essays) and have participated in special courses in English reading and wirting which have perfected my skills to organize and express myself in a written form.
I have a great deal of experience with translating business and marketing, science, politics, sociology and literary material. I have received the International Baccaulaureate Bilingual Diploma (Latvian and English), as well as passed Studieprųven (Danish), which document my language skills. These capabilities, together with my experience at writing and translations and the skills I have obtained from special cources, add up to make me a good choice choice when a text not only has to be translated, but also be readable, well-formulated and comprehensible.
