Source text - Norwegian Erysipelas, forårsaket av S. pyogenes, er en skarpt avgrenset, akutt infeksjon i dermis som ses særlig hos barn og eldre. Tidligere opptrådte denne infeksjonen ofte i ansiktet i kjølvannet av en halsinfeksjon, men i dag er den hyppigere på de nedre ekstremitetene, ofte etter en sårinfeksjon. Infeksjonen kan være alvorlig, med høy feber og påvirket allmenntilstand.
Translation - Swedish Erysipelas, orsakad av S. pyogenes, är en tydligt avgränsad, akut infektion i dermis. Erysipelas ses speciellt hos barn och äldre. Tidigare uppträdde denna infektion ofta i ansiktet efter en halsinfektion, men i dag är den vanligare på de nedre extremiteterna, ofta efter en sårinfektion. Infektionen kan vara allvarlig med hög feber och påverkat allmäntillstånd.

Bio
I was born 1959 in Sweden. I have a Bachelor of Science at Uppsala University (biology and chemistry). In 1996 I defended my thesis in forest pathology and microbiology at Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). 1996-2004 I worked as a scientist at SLU. My main project areas was fungal interactions and fungal ecology. From 2005 I have been working as a translator (mainly english-swedish and norwegian-swedish) and as a language reviewer (swedish). My main fields are medical sciences. I have also written a book about horses, that is published by Forma Publishing Group AB.
