Con la concesión del certificado OMT.Sbest al Patronato, la Organización Mundial del Turismo lo sitúa como una de los siete mejores gestores de destinos turísticos del mundo. Desde su creación, han conseguido este galardón las siguientes entidades gestoras:

La auditoría de la Organización Mundial del Turismo ha aprobado su labor de promoción y desarrollo de la provincia de Granada y avala tanto los objetivos marcados como los métodos para conseguirlos.
Con el certificado OMT.Sbest, la Organización Mundial del Turismo premia también a todos los que trabajan codo con codo junto al Patronato. El órgano de Diputación desea dar las gracias y felicitar a todas las empresas y entidades públicas y privadas del sector turístico que colaboran con él y que le han ayudado a consensuar objetivos y directrices de funcionamiento.

The World Tourism Organization recognizes the Granada Board like one of the best tourist managers of the world
The Provincial Tourist Board of Granada has, from September of 2007, the OMT.Sbest certificate of quality, an award with which the World Tourism Organization recognizes the excellence in the management of public or private institutions in charge of the development and promotion of tourist destinations worldwide.
Granting the OMT.Sbest certificate to the Board of Granada, the World Tourism Organization places it like one of the best seven managers of tourist destinations of the world. From its creation, the following managing organizations have obtained this award:

The audit of the World Tourism Organization has approved its work of promotion and development of the Granada province and guarantees the aims proposed as much as the methods to achieve them.
With the OMT.Sbest certificate, the World Tourism Organization also awards all of those that work closely with the Board. This institution wishes to thank and to congratulate to all the companies and public and private organizations of the tourist sector that collaborate with it and which have helped it to reach a consensus in terms of objectives and operational directives.
But the possession of the OMT.Sbest certificate also forces the Board to initiate an auto analysis process and continuous improvement of its work. Source text - Spanish La Biblioteca Valenciana fue creada por el decreto 5/1985 de 8 de enero y es presentada en su artículo primero como "centro superior bibliotecario de la Generalitat Valenciana y depósito bibliográfico básico" que depende de la Conselleria de Cultura, Educación y Deporte.
Es, por tanto, la cabecera del sistema bibliotecario de la Comunidad Valenciana, y como tal, tiene unas finalidades establecidas en el artículo octavo de la Ley 10/86 de 30 de diciembre de Organización Bibliotecaria de la Comunidad Valenciana entre las que destacan la de “reunir, conservar y difundir el patrimonio bibliográfico valenciano y toda la producción impresa, sonora y visual, de y sobre la Comunidad Valenciana”. También se constituye como “receptora de uno de los ejemplares procedentes de las oficinas del Depósito Legal” y se le atribuye la obligación de realizar el catálogo colectivo del patrimonio bibliográfico y cultural Valenciano. Además, la biblioteca Valenciana debe encuadrarse entre las denominadas Bibliotecas Nacionales y por tanto, es la encargada, en la Comunidad Valenciana de unir historia, tradición y futuro en la consecución de políticas bibliotecarias pues es definida como “central técnica de los trabajados bibliotecarios comunes del sistema bibliotecario valenciano” y, por tanto, debe ser la encargada “de elaborar y difundir la información bibliográfica sobre la producción editorial valenciana y de mantener la cooperación con los servicios bibliotecarios de distintos ámbitos”.
En cumplimiento de sus competencias, y con el fin de conseguir la máxima difusión del patrimonio bibliográfico y cultural, la Biblioteca Valenciana, en el marco de su política de Digitalización, ha dedicado y dedica numerosos recursos en cuatro líneas o soluciones diferentes.
En primer lugar coedita con diferentes editoriales monografías o títulos de revistas que permiten la recuperación y difusión del patrimonio valenciano. Algunos ejemplos son Ruedo Ibérico, L’Espill o La República de les Lletres.
En segundo lugar, digitaliza diferentes fondos para que puedan ser consultados desde el catálogo. Esta solución está orientada sobretodo a la preservación y conservación de las colecciones, pues se trata de que los usuarios puedan ver desde su ordenador, los fondos a los que pertenecen las descripciones y puedan decidir si son pertinentes o no para su consulta, en lugar de pedirlos indiscriminadamente con lo que se reduce el transporte y manipulación de los originales.
Por otro lado, la biblioteca también está trabajando en la digitalización de materiales, sobre todo archivos personales, que no son de su propiedad pero que tienen una gran importancia.
Finalmente, la Biblioteca Valenciana ha puesto en marcha la Biblioteca Valenciana Digital, BIVALDI, que es el objeto de estudio del presente trabajo y que vamos a describir en detalle en los apartados siguientes.
1. BIVALDI: Biblioteca Valenciana Digital
En el mes de mayo de 2002, la Biblioteca Valenciana pone en marcha un proyecto de digitalización denominado Biblioteca Valenciana Digital (BIVALDI). Se trata de una biblioteca digital en la que se podrán consultar las obras literarias y científicas valencianas más relevantes y significativas, además de las que puedan ser consideradas de gran interés para el desarrollo y mejora de la investigación científica sobre el patrimonio histórico, bibliográfico y cultural.
Se trata de un proyecto ambicioso que no nació como repositorio de obras de una determinada temática ni como reflejo de los fondos que son custodiados en la Biblioteca Valenciana. La Biblioteca Valenciana Digital pretende recuperar el patrimonio bibliográfico Valenciano, es decir, pretende ser el lugar de unión de obras que forman parte de dicho patrimonio independientemente de su ubicación. Por ello, en Bivaldi encontramos obras que no son propiedad de la Biblioteca Valenciana y que además, no se pueden conseguir, bien porque son ejemplares únicos o porque no salen al mercado. Pero éste no es el único objetivo de BIVALDI, por otro lado, también nace por la necesidad de ofrecer más información, es decir, se pretende incorporar, junto a la propia obra, elementos informativos de valor añadido sobre los autores, las obras, los impresores, etc.
Tanto los investigadores como el público en general que consultan BIVALDI pueden disfrutar de las obras gracias a una plataforma informática de fácil manejo que permite una navegación sencilla. Uno de los atractivos más destacado de esta plataforma bibliotecaria es que el usuario puede navegar, no sólo de una forma individualizada, a través del texto original digitalizado, o de su trascripción y/o traducción, cuando son necesarias, sino también de manera simultánea y en una única pantalla, por la obra original junto a su trascripción y traducción. Además, el usuario cuenta con una amplia información, como se ha mencionado anteriormente, sobre el autor y la obra. Se trata de bibliografías y estudios especializados sobre las obras, los impresores, biografías de literatos, etc.
Lógicamente, para poner este proyecto en marcha, la Biblioteca Valenciana necesita la colaboración con otras instituciones para la obtención y posterior digitalización o para la obtención de la reproducción digital de las mismas.
Entre otras, la Universidad de Valencia ha facilitado la digitalización de los incunables de Les obres o trobes en laors de la Verge Maria –que es la primera obra literaria impresa en España del año 1474-; del Tirant lo Blanch de Joanot Martorell; del Regiment de la cosa pública -obra de Francesc Eiximenis-; de l'Omelia sobre lo psalm "De profundis" de Jeroni Fuster; de l'Omelia sobre lo psalm "Miserere mei Deus" de Narcís Vinyoles; de Lo somni de Joan Joan; de Lo procés de les olives; y del incunable de 1493 que contiene la Historia de la Passió de Bemat Fenollar i Pere Martínez, la Contemplació a Jesús Crucificat de Joan Escrivá i Bemat Fenollar y l' Oració a la Sacratíssima Verge Maria, obra de Joan Roís de Corella, el último de los grandes literatos medievales valencianos. Así mismo, el Ayuntamiento de Valencia ha autorizado la digitalización de dos incunables. Por un lado, la traducción de la Imitació de Jesucrist -más conocido como el Kempis- redactada con el nombre de Menyspreu del món por Miquel Pérez, edición barcelonesa de 1482, y que es la traducción más antigua de la obra impresa en lengua romance, en el mundo- y por otro lado, la traducción de Lo quart del Cartoxá, de Joan Roís de Corella, y la traducción de Les Meditationes vitae Christi de Ludolf de Saxonia, una versión del “Cartoxá”, demanada a les autoritades valencianas por el rey Fernando el Católico desde Castilla.
Por otro lado, la Hispanic Society ha facilitado la reproducción digital de las dos únicas páginas conservadas de la Biblia valenciana, impresa en 1478 y atribuida a Bonifacio Ferrer. También se han incluido en BIVALDI la digitalización del ejemplar del Tirant lo Blanch custodiado en la institución americana, que ha permitido suplir las páginas en mal estado o desaparecidas de la edición princeps del "Tirant", la primera novela de la literatura valenciana, conservada, como hemos mencionado anteriormente en la Universitat de Valencia.
L'Abadia de Montserrat, por su parte, ha concedido el permiso para la digitalización de un ejemplar del Antidotarium clarificatum, impreso en 1495 por Nicolau Spíndeler, y de la obra del valenciano Amau de Vilanova, médico de papas y reyes, que conserva la institución catalana.
Además, BIVALDI ha contado también con la colaboración de la Biblioteca Nacional de España, que ha dado su permiso para la digitalización de la Obra a llaors de Sent Cristófol y del Vita Christi de sor Isabel de Villena -obra de una de las escritoras más importantes de la Europa medieval- i de la que la Biblioteca Valenciana guarda un ejemplar incompleto.

The Valencian Library was created by the 5/1985 decree of the 8th of January and it is presented in its first article as "main library centre of the Generalitat Valenciana (Valencian Government) and basic bibliographical deposit" that depends on the Conselleria de Cultura, Educación y Deporte (Departmet of Culture, Education and Sport).
It is, therefore, the head of the library system of the Valencian Region, and like so, it has some purposes established in the eighth article of the 10/86 law of the 30th of December of Library Organization of the Valencian Region, among which, the one "to reunite, to conserve and to spread the Valencian bibliographical patrimony and all the printed, sonorous and visual production, of and about the Valencian Region" stands out. It is also constituted as "receiver of one of the copies from the offices of the Depósito Legal (Legal Deposit)" and it has the duty to make the collective catalogue of the Valencian bibliographical and cultural patrimony. Besides, the Valencian library must be fitted between the so called National Libraries and, therefore, it is the one in charge, at the Valencian Region to link history, tradition and future to achieve political aims, as the Valencian library is defined as "technical centre of the librarians who work in the Valencian Library system" and, therefore, it must be the one in charge "to elaborate and spread the bibliographical information about the Valencian publishing production and to maintain the cooperation with the library services of different areas".
In fulfilment of its duties, and with the purpose of achieving the maximum diffusion of the bibliographical and cultural patrimony, the Valencian Library, within the frame of its Digitalization policy, it has dedicated and it still dedicates many resources in four lines or different solutions.
In the first place, it co-publishes with different publishers, monographs or magazines that allow the recovery and diffusion of the Valencian patrimony. Some examples are Ruedo Iberico, L'Espill or La República de les Lletres.
Secondly, it digitalizes different batches so they can be consulted from the catalogue. This solution is orientated mainly to the preservation and conservation of the collections, because, this way, users can see from their computers the batches to which the descriptions belong and they can decide whether they are pertinent or not for their consult, instead of requesting them indiscriminately, reducing the transport and manipulation of the originals.
On the other hand, the library is also working in the digitalization of materials, personal files mainly, which do not belong to them but they are of great importance.
Finally, the Valencian Library has started up the Digital Valencian Library, BIVALDI, which is the object of study of this essay and that we are going to describe in detail in the following sections.
1. BIVALDI: Valencian Digital Library
In May of 2002, the Valencian Library starts up a digitalization project called Biblioteca Valenciana Digital (BIVALDI). It is a digital library where you will be able to consult the most relevant and significant literary and scientific books of Valencia, in addition to the ones that can be considered of great interest for the development and improvement of the scientific research about the historical, bibliographical and cultural patrimony.
It is an ambitious project that was not born as repository of works of and specific theme, nor like reflection of the batches that are kept at the Valencian Library. The Valencian Digital Library tries to recover the Valencian bibliographical patrimony; it tries to be the meeting place for books that are part of this patrimony, independently of their location. For that reason, in BIVALDI we found books that are not property of the Valencian Library and that, in addition, they are not possible to obtain, whether because they are unique copies or because they are not in the market. But this is not the only objective of BIVALDI. On the other hand, it is also born due to the need to offer more information, to try to incorporate, as well as the book, informative elements of added value about the authors, their work, the printers, etc.
The investigators, as much as the general public that consults BIVALDI, can enjoy the books thanks to a computer platform easy to use and that allows a simple navigation. One of the most attractive points of this library platform is that the user can navigate, not just in an individualized way, through the digitalized original text, or through its transcription and/or translation, when necessary, but also in a simultaneous way and in an only screen, through the original book next to its transcription and translation. In addition, the user has a wide range of information, as mentioned before, about the author and his work. They are bibliographies and specialized studies about books, printers, writers’ biographies, etc.
Logically, to start up this project, the Valencian Library needs the collaboration with other institutions to obtain and then digitalize or to obtain the digital reproduction of the books.
Among others, the University of Valencia has provided the digitalization of the incunables of Les obres o trobes en laors de la Verge Maria - which is the first printed literary work in Spain, of 1474 -; of the Tirant lo Blanch of Joanot Martorell; of the Regiment de la cosa pública - work of Francesc Eiximenis -; of l'Omelia sobre lo psalm "De profundis" of Jeroni Fuster; of l'Omelia sobre lo psalm "Miserere mei Deus" of Narcís Vinyoles; of Lo somni of Joan Joan; of Lo procés de les olives; and of the incunable of 1493 that contains the Historia de la Passió of Bemat Fenollar and Pere Martinez, the Contemplació a Jesus Crucificat of Joan Escrivá i Bemat Fenollar and l' Oració to the Sacratíssima Verge Maria, work of Joan Roís de Corella, the last one of the great Valencian medieval writers. Also, the City Council of Valencia has authorized the digitalization of two incunables. On the one hand, the translation of the Imitació de Jesucrist – better known as the Kempis- written with the name of Menyspreu del món by Miquel Perez, published in Barcelona in 1482, and that is the oldest translation of the book printed in Romance language in the world, and, on the other hand, the translation of Lo quart del Cartoxá, of Joan Roís de Corella, and the translation of Les Meditationes vitae Christi of Ludolf de Saxonia, a version of the "Cartoxá", requested to the Valencian authorities by the king Fernando el Católico from Castile.
On the other hand, the Hispanic Society has provided the digital reproduction of the only two pages of the Biblia Valenciana conserved, printed in 1478 and attributed to Bonifacio Ferrer. They have also included in BIVALDI the digitalization of a copy of the Tirant lo Blanch conserved in the American institution, which has allowed to replace the pages in bad state or missing of the princeps edition of the "Tirant", the first novel of the Valencian Literature, conserved, as we have mentioned before, at the University of Valencia.
The Abbey of Montserrat, on the other hand, has granted the permission to digitalize a copy of the Antidotarium clarificatum, printed in 1495 by Nicolau Spíndeler, and of the work of the Valencian author Arnau de Vilanova, doctor of Popes and kings, which the Catalan institution conserves.
Besides, BIVALDI has also had the collaboration of the National Library of Spain, which has given its permission to digitalize the book A llaors of Sent Cristófol and of the Vita Christi of the sister Isabel de Villena - work of one of the most important female writers of the medieval Europe - of which the Valencian Library conserves an incomplete copy.
