Bio
I started my translation and interpreting education with a three-year course at the SDI (Sprachen- und Dolmetscherinstitut) in Munich. My first language was English, my second language Italian and my main subject engineering. During my last year at the institute I was awarded a scholarship for outstanding achievements. I completed my training there with distinction, passed the Bavarian State Exam and earned the title of state-certified translator and interpreter.

After that I worked as a project manager and translator with a software localisation and translation agency in Munich for six months.

From September 2005 I completed a one-year MA course in translating and interpreting at the University of Salford in England, where I focussed mainly on conference interpreting. The topic of my MA dissertation was "Note-taking in Consecutive Interpreting".

Since September 2006 I have been working as a freelance translator and interpreter and have also been able to gain experience as a project manager and team manager for a translation agency in Munich.
