I have worked as a Russian-English translator in the military for these last 10 years and am now branching out on my own. My specialty is technical translations, specifically mechanical and electrical engineering, equipment and technology, and computer-related materials. I am a native English speaker and have been through the basic and advanced Russian courses at the Defense Language Institute, followed by language training at the Khabarovsk Polytechnical Institute in Russia.
I hold an AA in Communications, an AA in Russian, and a BS in Liberal Studies with concentrations in Russian and Management. I am deadline-oriented, able to work under pressure, and very quality-conscious with the translations I produce.
I also have experience proofreading and editing human and machine-translated work.
