Source text - Spanish Mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) has been observed to decline with age in association with the accumulation of somatic mtDNA rearrangement and base substitution mutations. These observations have lead to the theory that the mtDNA is the aging clock. To this aging story was added a new twist in a recent issue of PNAS, an mtDNA mutation that promotes longevity.

I'm a biologist from the Nacional de Colombia University in Bogota. I'm currently finishing my Masters Degree thesis regarding mtDNA analysis of ancient remains and I have worked as a tranlator for some friends and colleages. I have noticed that many people are interested in translating from English to Spanish many technical texts regarding current biological topics, such as: genetics, environmental issues, medical articles, etc. I’ve noticed also that many translation services offer this kind of translations but the actual translation is made by a person that has no scientific background, which can derive in problems in the theoretical coherence of the text due to the lack of understanding of the topics they’re translating. So, I was encouraged to sing in into this web site to offer my translation services, which I believe have excellent quality and are 100% reliable.
I’ve been hired also to translate from Spanish to English, but I cannot guarantee a perfect grammar in English, as I do in Spanish.
