I'm a 65-year-old Argentine female of Scottish descent, brought up in an English speaking home and educated in the American Community School in Buenos Aires. I lived several years in Bloomington, Indiana, working in the Lilly Library of Rare and Ancient Books and Manuscripts and studying Fine Arts, Theater Arts, and attending conferences on a very broad range of subjects at Indiana University.
My interests revolve mainly around animals in general, pets in particular, and fine arts, but extend to all branches of science and philosophy. I have worked on the translation of all sorts of material (English to Spanish and Spanish to English) for over forty years, much of which has been used for publication in specialized (mostly scientific) journals.
Apart from translating, I teach English and Etiquette, both privately and in an institute and a foundation. I also work on high fire pottery and sculpture, and am involved in a project for the rescue and improvement of our Argentine breed of hairless dogs, the Perro Pila Argentino. I occasionally write stories in English and/or Spanish, mostly for my own entertainment and that of close friends and relatives; but one of the latest Spanish productions is soon to be published for general public consumption.
