I studied languages in Tübingen, Germany, and Sydney, Australia, where I was employed as high school teacher. I have been translating since 1986 as public relations assistant for the US-Army in Germany, as freelancer since 1994. For many years I have served as translator for the Robert Bosch Power Tool Division, Department of Sales Training and Customer Support. Besides many training and product brochures, I also translated the Bosch Encyclopaedia of Power Tools, a 1200 page technical manual for all subjects relating to power tools from German to English. For many other customers, among them companies like SAP, EADS, IBM, Siemens, and BMW I translated a great variety of technical, IT-related and commercial texts from German into English and vice versa.
I am certified by the Karlsruhe OSA and sworn at Tübingen Local Court for technical Translations English/German. I work with a Windows PC, SDL Trados Studio and Star Transit XV.
