I graduated at La Sapienza University, Rome and then further obtained a master’s degree in language philosophy. I lived in London, England for two years, where I took an M.A course in design and silversmith. During this time I worked in a silver service position at the Holiday Inn.
I moved to Prague with a post-degree grant. After an intensive course in Marketing and live show management, I spent a trainee period at the Divadlo Komedie. Then I started teaching Italian. I worked at the Italian Institute of Culture as an Italian teacher, I taught business Italian in multinational companies, Italian literature and history to Italian teenagers at the Istituto di Istruzione Italiana and with very young bilingual kids. Recently, I have collaborated with an important italian review, I translated articols when they need to. I worked with a German publishing house established in Prague as a proof-reader and I am doing translations from English into Italian for a touristic webside.
Along with other people interested in the Italian culture, I was one of the founder members of the Dante Alighieri branch in Prague. During my stay here, I have organized a European bilateral exchange project, ‘Youth for Europe Action 1’ for Czech students. I was the person in charge of the project, I found a partner in Italy interested in it, I presented the project to the Ustavni high school, and I accompanied the group to Italy. Now I would like to pass my experience in organising such projects to students so that they could think and create their own similar projects. I don’t work directly with the pc, but every day I use the computer for working, surfing the internet searching new materials and ideas, clarifying part of grammar, and modifying exercises.
I love travelling, meeting new people and knowing more about other cultures, languages and traditions. I have travelled around Europe and the countries around the Mediterranean sea. Then curious about farther continents, I went to Guatemala with a non-profit organization, to China mostly in the Inner Mongolia, to Nepal and then to the Maldives.
